LION FOUNDATION WITHDRAW APPEAL

The Lion Foundation has accepted the Department of Internal Affair’s license condition in relation to the funding of four trotting clubs, meaning all funding of the four clubs will cease immediately. 

The Lion Foundation is firmly of the view that it has not breached any provisions under the Gambling Act 2003 and accordingly earlier appealed the condition imposed by the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) in relation to the trotting clubs.

THE LION AND PERRY FOUNDATION MERGER NEARLY COMPLETE

The merger of two of New Zealand’s leading Community Gaming Trusts announced last November is nearing completion. 

“The whole merger is coming together extremely well” says The Lion Foundation Chief Executive Phil Holden. “I am delighted that the thorough planning by the two organisations has resulted in a seamless integration and has largely been ‘business as usual’.
