Welcome
The Lion Foundation is a charitable trust that exists for the purpose of raising funds for the community. It was established by Lion Nathan in 1985.
The Foundation owns gaming machines that are situated in hotels, taverns and other licensed entertainment venues throughout New Zealand. We have approximately 2,700 gaming machines in about 175 venues from Invercargill to Kaitaia.
All profits are returned in the form of grants to community organisations for legislated Authorised Purposes.

The Lion Foundation has funds available now for authorised purposes.
In the year to 31 March 2007, The Lion Foundation grants to the community were $54,098,073.
