OUR PHILOSOPHY: MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Here at The Lion Foundation, we have one goal: to help Kiwis make a difference in their communities. We don't simply issue cheques and walk away. We take a keen and active interest in our grant recipients to ensure that the funding truly benefits the wider community.

Funds from your community go back to your community.
90% of our funds are returned directly to the local council area in which they were raised. The remaining 10% goes towards national grants that benefit communities across the country.

We fund a huge range of good causes.
Funds are allocated in areas as diverse as health, education, sports, arts, community and culture. Over the years, we've helped all kinds of good causes, including schools, kindergartens, hospitals, rescue services, sports clubs, cultural groups, you name it.

Whatever the cause, it's always for the greater good of the community.
